Logistics Coordinator
Location: Romeoville, IL
Pay: $20-25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Overtime: Required as needed

A leading national supply chain organization is seeking a detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and warehouse operations at their Romeoville facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is comfortable coordinating with drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams.
Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, preparing shipping documentation, tracking freight, and ensuring on‑time, cost‑effective delivery. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a high‑volume logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across truck, rail, air, and ocean carriers
Schedule pickups, deliveries, and dock appointments
Manage driver check‑ins and support warehouse flow
Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), invoices, and customs paperwork
Track shipments and inventory; resolve delays or service issues
Communicate with carriers, vendors, warehouse teams, and internal departments
Maintain accurate records within logistics, TMS, or ERP systems
Monitor transportation costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customs requirements
Qualifications
Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or shipping/receiving
Strong communication and customer‑service skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Familiarity with BOLs, freight scheduling, or logistics software (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
Willingness to work overtime as needed
