Shipping & Receiving Associate
This specialized role is primarily focused on inventory accuracy through meticulous relabeling.
Key Responsibilities
Freight Processing: Receive incoming shipments and verify packing slips against physical inventory.
Label Management: Remove or cover original manufacturer labels and replace them with MSI-compliant barcodes and tracking labels.
Quality Control: Ensure all labels are scanned correctly into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
Documentation: Record any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in the incoming freight immediately.
Pallet Handling: Use manual or electric pallet jacks to move freight to designated "Labeling Zones" and then to the appropriate storage racks.
Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent tripping hazards and ensure a smooth flow of materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy is required to ensure the right labels are applied to the right products.
Tech Savviness: Experience using handheld RF scanners and thermal label printers (e.g., Zebra printers).
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Reliability: Strong attendance record is essential for keeping up with the daily freight volume.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control role is preferred.
