Role Overview
The Clamp Truck Operator plays a crucial role in keeping corrugator operations running smoothly by safely transporting, organizing, and documenting roll stock. In this position, youâll operate a clamp truck to move heavy paper rolls, support production flow, and maintain a clean, efficient warehouse environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure consistent quality and onâtime performance across the operation.
â Responsibilities of a Clamp Truck OperatorÂ
Operate the clamp truck safely, including lifting up to 2000 lbs, stacking rolls, unloading trailers/rail cars, and completing required equipment inspections.
Transport, record, and properly mark paper rolls for the corrugator, prioritizing buttrolls and maintaining accurate documentation.
Support corrugator operations by learning lineups, assisting the operator, following the production schedule, and suggesting improvements for efficiency and quality.
Maintain an organized, clean warehouse environment while complying with all company safety policies and procedures.
Communicate roll stock tallies, report maintenance needs, and perform additional duties as assigned by supervision or management.
