Assembler I – Mechanical/Electrical Assembly

Pay: $22.50/hr
Shift: 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (OT as needed)

About the Role
A global manufacturer of industrial packaging equipment is hiring an Assembler I to support mechanical and electrical assembly in their Roselle facility. You’ll build precision tools, heads, and machine components used in automated machinery. Ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical aptitude who can follow instructions and work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams
Perform quality checks, measurements, and functional tests
Install switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses
Verify alignment, dimensions, and part functionality
Document assembly steps, test results, and production data
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all 6S standards
Assist with training newer team members
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
0–1 year of mechanical or electrical assembly experience
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
