QA Technician – 1st Shift
Location: Pennsauken, NJ
Pay: $17–$19 per hour
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (may shift based on operational needs)
About the Role
We are seeking a QA Technician to support quality assurance operations within a production and warehouse environment. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with food safety standards, operational procedures, and customer specifications. You will work alongside an existing QA Technician, sharing daily responsibilities and audits.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Facility & Operational Checks
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of production lines, warehouse, glass control areas, bathrooms, and break rooms.
- Document all inspections thoroughly and accurately.
GMP Compliance
- Conduct random Employee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) checks at the start of shift, during lunch, and during breaks.
Tool & Equipment Compliance
- Verify that color‑coded cleaning tools are used properly, stored correctly, and kept clean.
- Ensure tools are used only for their designated purpose.
Production Line Audits
- Audit all packing lines to confirm:
- Product weights meet standards
- Customer specifications are followed
- Correct raw materials/coffee bins are selected
- Oxygen and Agtron tests are performed correctly
- Document all audit results and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Pay special attention during start‑ups and product changeovers.
Corrective Actions & Non‑Compliance Reporting
- Report all non‑compliance issues observed during the shift.
- Document corrective actions promptly and accurately.
Finished Goods Inspection
- Inspect finished products to ensure:
- Case counts are correct
- Product weights meet requirements
- Packaging seals are intact and compliant
Allergen Management
- Ensure allergen‑containing products are clearly marked and properly segregated.
Inventory & Traceability
- Assist with tracking inventory from raw material receipt through finished goods.
- Support traceability documentation and verifications.
