Customer Service Transportation Coordinator
Location: Batavia, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Pay: $23–$25 per hour, based on experience
About the Company:
A well‑established relocation and logistics organization in Batavia, IL is seeking a Customer Service Transportation Coordinator to join their team. With over 70 years of experience supporting local, long‑distance, and international moves—as well as commercial, logistics, and industrial warehousing projects—this company continues to grow in a fast‑paced, evolving industry.
This role supports both household goods relocations and logistics customers, acting as the central point of communication throughout the move process. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout their relocation.
Coordinate and quote logistics origin and destination services.
Review, prioritize, and complete daily tasks using MoversSuite and Google Docs.
Work closely with customers, sales, and operations to schedule move dates and confirm services.
Communicate shipment status updates to customers and client representatives.
Handle inbound customer calls and inquiries throughout the move process.
Schedule pre‑move surveys and review results to provide accurate estimates.
Support fellow coordinators to ensure all daily tasks are completed as a team.
Assist with general customer service duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to understand and advocate for customer needs.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle challenging customer situations with patience and professionalism.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
Preferred Experience:
5+ years of customer service or customer‑facing experience.
3+ years of experience in the relocation, transportation, or logistics industry.
