Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days onsite in Schaumburg, IL; 1 day remote

Role Overview
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a licensed Customs Broker based in Schaumburg, IL, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Customs Broker will oversee customs brokerage operations, ensure compliance with U.S. import and export regulations, and manage international trade documentation. This role involves close coordination with clients, freight forwarders, and customs authorities, as well as maintaining accurate records and proactively addressing customs- and shipping-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee customs brokerage activities in compliance with U.S. import and export regulations
- Ensure accurate preparation, review, and management of international trade documentation
- Serve as a primary point of contact with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and clients
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Identify and resolve customs-related issues, delays, or compliance risks
- Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient and compliant air cargo operations
Qualifications
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (Required)
- Strong knowledge of customs brokerage, import, and export processes
- Proficiency in U.S. import/export documentation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, customs officials, and internal teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with logistics systems and tools; airfreight industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in air freight transportation or logistics is a plus
