Machine Maintenance Mechanic Job Details:
- Schedule: Mon–Sat, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Pay Rate: $35-37/hr
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Allentown, PA
Machine Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine service, and repairs on hydraulic presses, conveyors, motors, band saws, and PLC‑controlled equipment
- Inspect, clean, grease, troubleshoot, and complete corrective maintenance to reduce downtime
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including high‑ and low‑voltage components
- Safely use hand and power tools; perform basic welding; operate forklifts and scissor lifts
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory
- Follow all safety protocols, communicate effectively, and manage maintenance priorities to support smooth production
Machine Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- Strong experience in industrial maintenance, machine repair, and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, processors, and PLC troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems and maintenance procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform hands‑on repairs
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals) and ability to read a tape measure to 1/8" precision
- Experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts; basic welding skills required
