Overnight Maintenance Technician – Pay range $19-24 per hour
Location: Suffolk, VA
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Day-shift training (5:45 AM – 6:30 PM) before switching to PM schedule
Overtime: Regularly available (8–10 hrs/week)
Dress Code: Jeans, T-shirt, closed-toe shoes
About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at a busy manufacturing facility. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Ideal for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working with manufacturing equipment.
What You’ll Do
Receive and complete work orders for maintenance and repair needs
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facility equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Assist with installation, setup, and maintenance of production equipment
Support welding and metal fabrication tasks as needed
Maintain accurate documentation for work orders, labor, and materials
Follow all safety protocols, codes, and compliance requirements
Operate forklifts and boom lifts (if certified)
Keep equipment, work areas, and tools clean, safe, and organized
Participate in weekly maintenance/management meetings
Be available for on-call rotation
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to stand for 8+ hours
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
What We’re Looking For
Experience working on manufacturing equipment (required per client)
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
Ability to read, follow, and complete work orders
Strong communication skills
Reliable, dependable, and coachable
Understanding of GMP, HACCP, or SQF standards is a plus
Forklift experience is a plus (certification preferred but not required)
