PeopleShare is Hiring – Roast Operator on night shift in Suffolk, VA!
Schedule: Night Shift – Monday–Thursday, 5:45 PM – 6:30 AM (hours may vary)
Pay: $20 an hour with evaluation at 90 days of employment that could lead to an increase.
Dress Code: Jeans, t-shirt, closed-toe shoes
Overtime: Often 8–10 hours/week available
Position Overview
Roast Operators are essential in the peanut roasting process—operating and maintaining industrial equipment to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor roasting equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines (temperature, belt speed, bed depth).
Maintain steady peanut flow, monitor gauges, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Perform general warehouse tasks: packing, moving/storing products, cleaning, and adding lids.
Safely operate a forklift to move materials as needed.
Lift up to 50 lbs and follow all safety protocols.
Requirements
Forklift experience required.
Previous warehouse or food production experience preferred (training provided).
Reliable, dependable, and hardworking with excellent attendance.
Team-oriented and flexible with duties.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse conditions.
Must pass background and drug screening (some history considered; no violent or sexual offenses).
