Position: Program Educator
Reports To: Senior Manager, Education
Compensation Range: $65,900 - $87,000
Location: Remote, U.S. (excluding CA, AZ, NY, AK, HI, MT, VT)
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Program Educator is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering both virtual and in-person training for home visiting professionals. This position creates new learning materials, updates existing training modules, and brings subject matter expertise to curriculum design. This position collaborates with peers across the Programs department and with the University of Colorado’s Prevention Research Center to support high-quality, evidence-based education grounded in national implementation standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate the NFP program education courses with full accountability.
• Ensure that all educational events are well planned and organized and are of the highest quality utilizing interactive learning methodologies.
• Employ quality improvement strategies to incorporate model enhancements and nursing practice updates into the NFP program curriculum.
• Develop PowerPoint presentation design and accompanying facilitation guides that consider message design, consultation on application of style guide elements, on development and selection of graphics, feedback on content flow and delivery, and photo use in alignment with copyright law.
• Provide content expertise for development of the NFP program educational materials and sessions, eLearning modules, and Visit-to-Visit Guidelines
• Present the NFP program’s educational sessions to various audiences including nurse home visitors, supervisors and agency administrators through face-to-face and virtual education, web conferences, and webinars.
• Actively reflect on, seek, and participate in professional development to evaluate and continuously improve personal presentation/public speaking skills.
• Collaborate with Program support staff to prepare, monitor, and report on education attendance and other outcomes.
• Analyze and utilize data to inform the design, development, and delivery of education using best practices in the field to meet a range of adult learning needs and styles, including skill building in appropriate use of technology.
• Provide input for strategic planning purposes including setting measurable team goals and participating in the development of measurable individual and departmental goals.
• Collaborate to perform ongoing assessment of the learning needs of new and existing NFP nurse home visitors, nurse supervisors, state and Changent nurse consultants and administrators in implementing the NFP program effectively with quality and fidelity to the model, underlying theories, and spirit.
• Implement recommendations and strategies for mapping the NFP Education Program to ensure continuous, logical, and deepening learning.
• Support collaborative relationships with other teams within the Programs department and throughout the Changent including active participation on committees and workgroups.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an educator with experience in clinical education preferred.
• Experience with the NFP program working in a nursing role is preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development is preferred.
• Ability to set priorities and collaborate with others on projects.
• Effective communication in verbal, non-verbal and written formats.
• Ability to travel up 10% in a calendar year.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Education and does not have any direct reports.
