PeopleShare is searching for a seasoned AP/AR Specialist to join a well-established and growing manufacturer on the Peninsula. This is a high-volume, highly transactional position that involves extensive reconciliations and resolving past-due balances, supporting an average of 485 transactions per month. You'll play a key role in the company's financial operations, working closely with the Bookkeeper and in direct collaboration with the CFO.
AP/AR Specialist Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Pay Rate: up to $27

AP/AR Specialist Job Description:
Verifying invoice accuracy and reconciling discrepancies
Resolving past-due balances and working closely with vendors
Processing vendor payments weekly (check, credit card, ACH)
Maintaining accounting files (paper and digital); annual document storage and retrieval
Maintaining asset files and the Business Debt Schedule for long-term liabilities
Working with the CPA for month-end and year-end financials and tax prep
Compiling and organizing financial data to assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning
Performing general office tasks including answering phones, filing, and data entry
AP/AR Specialist Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with QuickBooks Desktop, including data entry and reporting
At least 3 years of Accounts Payable experience, including vendor invoice approval and payment processing
Strong background in reconciliations and resolving past-due invoices
Familiarity with General Ledger-based accounting
Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
