Principal Coordinator, Development Job Details:
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid Work Schedule | Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with Evenings & Weekends As Required
Pay Rate: $60,000 - $65,000/year
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign& Fundraising Support
- Lead the execution of Annual Appeal Campaigns, including but not limited to Giving Tuesday, year-end giving, and targeted donor outreach
- Collaborate with the Communications team, ensuring alignment with branding and campaign messaging of fundraising collateral
- Monitor and report on campaign metrics, donor conversion, and retention strategies to drive continuous improvement
- Assist in the implementation of fundraising goals
- Collaborate with Manager, Data & Impact to share stories and impact data for use in appeals and stewardship
- Schedule and prepare materials for development meetings with the President & CEO and other senior leadership
Donor Management
- Manage all aspects of donor records using Raiser's Edge, ensuring accurate data entry, timely acknowledgements, and regular database maintenance
- Track and reconcile all contributions in coordination with the Finance team
- Develop and produce donor lists, giving reports, and segmented queries to support strategic appeals and stewardship
- Ensure gift/pledge processing and acknowledgements are timely, accurate, and aligned with best practices
- Generate and maintain tracking systems to monitor donor engagement
- Oversee the integrity of donor data, including deduplication, data validation, and historical consistency
- Work closely with the Director to coordinate current and prospective corporate funders to increase awareness and financial support
- Maintain support materials, proposals, and electronic records required for EITC and corporate fundraising
- Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to optimize fundraising, stewardship, and campaign effectiveness
- Support other administrative or development-related tasks as assigned to meet team objectives
Board & Committee Engagement
- Manage calendars, communications, and documentation related to Board and Advisory Board development efforts
- Track Board of Directors' contributions and provide regular updates on giving participation
Events & Donor Stewardship
- Support with the execution of fundraising and stewardship events, ensuring strategic donor engagement and meaningful recognition
- Coordinate logistics, invitations, RSVPS, and follow-up for all development events
- Partner with other departments to recruit and manage student ambassadors for event representation and donor interactions
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in development/fundraising
- Proficiency in Raiser's Edge
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, Zoom, and Teams
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal acumen
- Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
