Summary:
The Line Lead within the Packaging Room is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a production line, ensuring that packaging processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role includes all responsibilities of performing hands-on packaging while adding leadership duties such as managing workflow, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience leading a team in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the production line team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee manual bottle filling and the filling and inspection of blister strips and blister cards.
- Ensure proper label application, assembly, and inspection procedures.
- Operate and oversee the use of semi-automated packaging equipment in primary and secondary packaging areas.
- Perform and oversee major and minor cleans in production areas and on all equipment.
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete and manage necessary documentation.
- Train and mentor team members to improve performance and adherence to procedures.
- Identify and address workflow issues to maintain efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to coordinate production needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience leading a team in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow and enforce instructions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with cGMPs and the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Manual dexterity and ability to operate production equipment.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) and basic mathematical skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address operational challenges.
