General Plant Maintenance AND Shipping & Receiving
SCHEDULE: Day Shift, Mon-Fri
SALARY: up to $50K
Position Overview:
Local Company is seeking a hands-on and mechanically skilled individual to join our team in a hybrid role that encompasses General Plant Maintenance and Shipping & Receiving. This role requires a reliable and safety-conscious individual with strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be cross-trained in multiple areas to support overall operations.
Job Description:
Shipping & Receiving:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Maintenance:
- Install heat elements into production machines
- Perform regular maintenance on forklifts including adding water to forklift batteries
- Repair cracked hoses on equipment and drain water from plant systems as needed
- Replace dampers and other worn machine components
- Assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks across the plant
Safety & Collaboration:
- Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with team members and management to meet production goals
- Assist other team members as needed and participate in special projects
- Be cross-trained in multiple functions across the plant
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3–4 years of solid manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to climb up and down ladders frequently
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Comfortable working in hot and cold conditions for extended periods
- Proficient in basic math and measurement
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
