Maintenance Technician Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday +Saturday's as needed
- 2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
- 3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am
- Weekend shift: Friday - Monday | 9:00 am - 7:30 pm
- Pay Rate: $28.00
Maintenance Technician Job Description:
Maintain the quality, legality and safety of each product to include the processes used in their manufacture.
Ensure equipment operates safely; machine guarding is in place
Keep work area, facility including grounds and machinery clean
Perform repair and/or preventative maintenance to all equipment, building, offices, and grounds.
Will assist with set-up, start-up, operation of and shut down to include disassembly of all equipment.
Will become a team member to assist with writing and training on operating parameters and procedures.
Shift hand off discussion with incoming and outgoing techs shall be held on the floor at the beginning and end of each shift.
Majority of the shift shall be spent on the production floor. If no urgent repairs are needed, time shall be spent on preventative maintenance, equipment observations, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:
Follows all work instructions given verbally or written.
Must be able to create notifications and input time on work orders.
Must supply feedback to update procedures and deficiencies noted in SAP
Must utilize all safety devices, comply with all safety policies and procedures at all times
Must exhibit semi-skilled mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills
Must display semi-skilled trouble shooting skills of processing and packing equipment
Must exhibit basic trouble shooting skills of PLC, VFD operations
Must be semi-skilled in ARC, MIG & TIG welding
Must have semi-skilled fabrication skills
Must be able to operate all shop equipment (mill, lathe, brake, press, etc.)
Must be able to work overtime to assist with departmental staffing or production needs
Experience in 5S and Lean manufacturing and formalized problem solving
At least 3-7 years progressive experience troubleshooting, repairing and PM programs for in a high volume high automation manufacturing environment.
PLC basic understanding, ability to trouble-shoot, diagnostics.
Advanced knowledge of electrical (PLC and A/C drives), as well as hydraulic, and mechanical systems
