- MS365 and foundational computer skills
- Data entry and digital fluency
- Business communication and hybrid work readiness
- Job preparation for roles such as Customer Service Representative, Office Administrator, Entry-Level IT, Sales Support, and Human Services Assistant
Position Details:
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Long-Term Contract
- Schedule: 30 HRS / WEEK Tues–Thurs 8AM – 5PM | Fri 8AM – 5PM (1-hour lunch)
- Pay Rate: $23–$24 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction
- Deliver and assist in designing lessons on Windows navigation, MS365, data entry, and business communication
- Teach and support the use of assistive technologies
- Adapt instruction to fit diverse learning styles and individualized employment plans
Curriculum Maintenance
- Maintain and update instructional content and teaching materials
- Integrate current technology trends into the curriculum
- Ensure content is accessible and aligned with real-world job demands
Classroom Management
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
- Manage classroom equipment and resources
- Monitor student engagement in group activities and one-on-one advising
- Report technical or interpersonal issues to appropriate supervisors
Professionalism and Student Support
- Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student success
- Build strong, supportive relationships with adult learners
- Align teaching practices with the organization’s mission and values
Administrative and Outreach Duties
- Maintain accurate attendance and performance records
- Assist in classroom scheduling and logistics
- Participate in open houses, recruitment efforts, and funder-related events as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Teaching or training experience, preferably with adults or in non-traditional education settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support learners with varied academic and personal backgrounds
- Preferred: Bilingual, assistive technology familiarity, or technical troubleshooting skills
- Passion for advancing equity and employment for individuals with disabilities
