Job Title: General Labor – Warehouse
Location: Elwood, IL
Job Type: Full-Time 6am - 3:30PM Monday - Friday
Join the team! trusted logistics and supply chain partner serving major industries with reliable, efficient warehouse and distribution services. We are currently seeking motivated and dependable General Laborers to join our growing team in Elwood, IL.
Job Summary:
As a General Laborer, you will support daily warehouse operations, including loading/unloading freight, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities for General laborers:
Load and unload shipments manually or with basic warehouse equipment
Sort, organize, and label products and materials
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse
Follow directions from supervisors and team leads
Perform other general labor duties as needed
Operate wood cutting saws to accurately cut lumber
Block and brace metal products following supervisor instructions
Secure loads using metal banding (1” and 2”), nylon straps, chain binders, and binder bars
Use bolt cutters to cut seals on inbound container doors
Carefully remove all metal banding from inbound metal materials
Dispose of banding safely into designated dumpsters from ground level
Loosen and remove chains and straps from LRPs (Load Restraint Platforms) and store properly
Keep warehouse floor and facility yard clean and free of debris for safety
Sweep out empty containers
Qualifications for Genreal Laborers:
No prior warehouse experience required—training provided
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Able to stand, bend, and move throughout shift
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Working knowledge of common warehouse tools
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Capable of working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
Prior experience in warehouse or metal handling is a plus but not required
