In this role, you will develop formulations and concepts, prepare and conduct technical presentations and support the customer, sales and distributor for technical service. Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8AM-4:30PM
Salary: $110k-$130k/yr, plus excellent benefits and PTO.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical service to customers
- Lead the development team across all functions (cosmetics, skin care, sun care, body and haircare).
- Understand key properties, specialty ingredients and how those properties can be leveraged into finished products.
- Lead the technical training of sales force and distributors,
- Collaborate with sales marketing, and business development to turn technical discoveries into new business opportunities.
- Identify and monitor market trends and hep turn these trends into new formulation opportunities.
- Oversee ongoing daily maintenance of lab cleanliness and organization.
- Travel as needed (domestic and international) to help meet company sales goals.
- Report customer complaints via CAPA system immediately.
Requirements:
- Degree of Science in technical disciplines (chemistry, chemical engineering or Biology)
- At least 10 years of experience in formulation development/product development in the cosmetic, personal care or pharmaceutical industry.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office
- Preferred experience in cosmetic formulation and development
- Previous experience in creating and delivering impactful presentations and preparing written reports describing in detail customer interactions in a timely fashion.
