Warehouse Lead Job Details:
- Schedule: 3rd shift, 8-hour shift
- Pay Rate: $20/hour

Warehouse Lead Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the warehouse to include planning of the operation for inbound and outbound loading, inventory control, managing the maintenance of warehouse equipment and warehouse housekeeping. The lead will assign priorities for the nightly job details. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and ensures the established standards for personnel safety, SQF food safety and performance are followed.
Warehouse Lead Job Description:
- Ensure all local drivers have their freight loaded.
- Process all paperwork from the previous day and distribute it to proper departments.
- Keep track of warehouse customers’ inventory via computer and physical counts.
- Work with third party logistics to ensure customers’ needs are met or exceeded.
- Supervise warehouse personnel and schedules, ensure proper training of all warehouse employees.
- Ensure that procedures for warehouse customers are properly carried out.
- Retain dock procedures for customers.
- Manage warehouse space and ensure cleanliness at all times.
- Handle billing of all warehouse customers as necessary.
- Provide production/labor planning with the Manager as well as status updates to ensure labor needs and best practices are being followed.
- Monitor daily productivity levels in the department.
- Maintain positive customer service interaction with internal customers, such as HR, customer services, sales, logistics, operations, and Finance
Warehouse Lead Safety & GMP Objectives
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with established policies and procedures.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as complying with all OSHA rules and regulations (THINK “SAFETY FIRST”).
- Recognize unsafe acts and conditions in the facility and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Finalize appropriate paperwork related to specific job functions in addition to quality and safety/training.
- Complete all annual training.
- Recognize and report all incidents; even those that do not warrant treatment.
- Review and execute our Food Safety Plan and Weinstein Wholesale Meats Distribution Mission Statement in order to provide value to each of our customers with safe, relevant, tasty food products; while never compromising quality.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming and hygiene, and cleanliness.
Warehouse Lead Job Requirements:
- 5 or more years of Warehouse experience
- Ability to report/track trending and historical data.
- Strong work ethic.
- Strong planning experience.
- Experience in Inventory Control, Transportation Warehouse.
- Beginning Microsoft Office skills, (Excel, Access, Power Point), data entry and general computer abilities.
- Experience in warehouse safety and safety training.
- English a must for customer interfacing – bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
