Maintenance Technician II
Location: Edison, NJ (Buckhead Meat / Sysco)
Pay Rate: $22.50/hr
Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:30 AM-3:00 PM | 2nd Shift: 10:00 AM-6:30 PM
Overtime: 5-10 hours available weekly
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, conveyors, and packing machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems and facility equipment
- Complete general building maintenance and repairs
- Assist with dock equipment, doors, and material handling equipment
- Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records
- Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or distribution environments
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to lift up to 50-75 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a cold production environment (37°F)
