A growing manufacturing facility in South Charlotte is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join its team on a rotating 2-2-3 night shift schedule. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards through inspections, measurements, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product accuracy.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Identify and document non-conforming materials and place them in designated quality hold areas.
- Accurately record inspection results and testing data.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, shipping, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help reduce scrap and rework.
- Assist with additional shift coverage as needed.
- Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of quality inspection or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Experience using measuring and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
