TITLE: Press Brake Operator (Night)
TEMP/TEMP-PERM/DH: Temp to Perm
PAY RATE: $22-26/hr
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: Mon–Fri 5:30pm-3:30am
Training Schedule: 1st Day 8am-5pm, 1st 2 to 3 weeks 7am-5pm
OT REQUIRED? Yes, on occasion
LUNCH BREAK DETAILS: 45 minutes unpaid (12pm-12:45pm)
DRESS CODE: warehouse casual, safety shoes (steel toe or composite) Safety glasses/gloves (provided)
WHAT ARE THE TOP 3 TECHNICAL (HARD) SKILLS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE?
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, bend drawings, and schematics
- Ability to operate and setup press brake machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency using precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges

DAY TO DAY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form sheet metal components according to engineering drawings, work orders, and production requirements.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, including punches and dies, and perform machine setup, programming, and bend sequence verification.
- Read and interpret blueprints, bend drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate part production.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to verify bend angles, dimensions, hole locations, and cosmetic quality.
- Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors, and gauges, to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify and report nonconforming parts, stopping production when quality standards are not met and assisting with corrective actions.
- Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling condition, and accurate production records while adhering to all safety and quality requirements.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS (I.e. education/years’ experience/software/industry or position experience):
- Experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components.
- Ability to perform quality inspections and verify parts meet dimensional and workmanship standards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and the ability to work safely around fabrication equipment and material handling devices.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented production environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of press brake, metal fabrication, or sheet metal manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work overtime as needed.
