Machine Operator - Newport News, VA
Pay: $20.00/hour
Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift
We are seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join a fast-paced manufacturing and production team in Newport News, VA. This position is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
- Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while following safety guidelines.
- Communicate equipment issues or production concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with changeovers, sanitation, and general production support tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operation, manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
