PeopleShare is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative for a large logistics and warehouse distribution operation in Berkeley, IL. This facility supports nationwide transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution services within a fast-paced supply chain environment. [dnb.com], [property.c...mpstak.com]
This role is ideal for candidates with customer service experience in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution environment who enjoy working directly with customers, managing orders, and supporting daily operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Process inbound and outbound customer orders
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and warehouse personnel regarding daily order activity
- Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipment documentation
- Track inbound and outbound shipments
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with inventory reconciliation
- Maintain customer and vendor databases
- Generate inventory and activity reports
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving requirements
- Ensure order accuracy and timely communication between office and warehouse teams
- Maintain customer order tracking systems and records
- Support additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or distribution preferred
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to type at least 30 WPM
- Experience maintaining databases and customer records
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High School Diploma or GED required
