Position Overview:
The Tax Preparer is responsible for guiding clients or employers through the tax preparation process and ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
Tax Preparer Job Details:
- Schedule: Offers a Hybrid schedule 3 days in office and 2 days from home. Full Time and Part Time schedules available!
- Pay Rate: $33.65- $48.07 Per Hour
Tax Preparer Job Description:
- Informing clients or employers on the tax preparation process.
- Collecting relevant financial records, including pay stubs and income statements
- Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases
- Using applicable federal, state and local tax law to determine deductions and how much each client will pay or earn on the return
- Completing and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state and local government entities
- Acting as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required
- Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business
Tax Preparer Job Requirements:
- 5-7 years of cooperate, partnership, or 1040 tax preparing.
- Computer skills including emails and documentation.
- CPA experience not required but preferred.
- Ultra Tax experience not required but preferred.
- Great communication skills.
