General Warehouse Associate

Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay Rate: $17.84/hour
Schedule: Full-Time

Job Overview

PeopleShare is currently seeking a General Warehouse Associate for a growing distribution and logistics operation in Virginia Beach. This role supports multiple warehouse functions including receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory control, and loading activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities

Load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse.
Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
Build and wrap pallets for shipment.
Stage and load orders onto delivery trucks.
Receive incoming inventory and verify quantities and product condition.
Perform inventory control and stock replenishment activities.
Return misplaced items to designated storage locations.
Inspect inventory for damage or defects and report concerns to management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Operate material handling equipment as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
Ability to read and understand written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in warehouse conditions, including exposure to temperature changes, machinery, and noise.
