Shop Mechanic
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Pay: $28.00–$33.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Shop Mechanic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, fixing things, and learning new mechanical skills in a shop environment.
Previous mechanic experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train candidates who have a strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn.
What You'll Do
Assist with the inspection, disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of mechanical components
Work with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
Support maintenance and repair activities in the shop
Read and follow work instructions and procedures
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Move materials and parts within the shop as needed
Work alongside experienced mechanics while developing technical skills
What We're Looking For
Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
Interest in maintenance, repair, manufacturing, automotive, marine, industrial, or similar hands-on work
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
Team-oriented attitude and commitment to workplace safety
Preferred Experience
Any of the following backgrounds are a plus:
Automotive repair
Diesel or heavy equipment maintenance
Manufacturing or production
Construction trades
Equipment operation
Maintenance technician experience
Military mechanical experience
Vocational or trade school training
