An Equipment Cleaner is generally responsible for cleaning and sanitizing machine parts and production equipment components so they can be safely reused in the manufacturing process. The Equipment Cleaner helps keep the printing and packaging equipment clean, sanitary, and ready to run, which reduces downtime and helps ensure product quality.
Location: Trenton, NJ
Schedule: 3rd Shift; Sun-Thurs 10pm – 6am (train on 1st: 6am – 2pm)
Pay: $20/hr
Job Duties:
- Removing ink, adhesive, product residue, and other materials from machine parts before washing.
- Loading and unloading parts from industrial washing equipment.
- Inspecting parts for damage, wear, or defects before and after cleaning.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment such as hoses, spray guns, and wash systems.
- Following sanitation, safety, and quality standards required for label and packaging production.
- Disassembling and reassembling printing press components.
- Cleaning ink chambers, screens, pumps, squeegees, anilox rolls, and other printing equipment.
- Handling cleaning chemicals and proper waste disposal procedures.
- Supporting press operators by preparing clean parts for production runs.
