Position Summary
The Warehouse Generalist I is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by retrieving, moving, stacking, picking, packing, and staging merchandise. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains organized work areas, and supports efficient shipping and receiving activities using warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling equipment (excluding forklifts).
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare customer orders by pulling materials, performing light assembly, packing products, and moving completed orders to designated staging or shipping areas.
- Utilize a computer-based Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process and manage orders.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking tasks as needed.
- Safely stack and store merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare and stage pallets and skids for outbound shipments using various carriers.
- Move products efficiently between storage, staging, and shipping areas.
- Assist with unloading inbound shipments and placing inventory into appropriate storage locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and handling procedures.
- Remove packaging materials and waste to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow company safety standards and support the FIDELITONE Standardized 5S Program.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
- Dependable with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to move, carry, and handle warehouse materials safely.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
