Project Quoting & Materials Manager
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in quoting, materials planning, and manufacturing operations? We're seeking a Project Quoting & Materials Manager to play a critical role in supporting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost management within a growing manufacturing environment.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and customer quotations while coordinating raw material inventory and production requirements. You'll work closely with customers, engineering, sales, purchasing, production, and operations to ensure projects move efficiently from quote to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage customer quotations based on specifications and costing information.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and project-related communication.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure quote accuracy and timely response to customer needs.
- Monitor raw material requirements and support purchasing, inventory, and production planning activities.
- Maintain accurate records for customers, quotes, orders, and inventory.
- Communicate schedule changes, material shortages, and order updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Resolve pricing discrepancies, order issues, and material-related concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quoting, customer service, and material flow processes.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in quoting, estimating, customer service, materials planning, production coordination, or a related manufacturing role.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with raw material planning, inventory coordination, and production support.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in project coordination, inside sales support, or supply chain operations.
