Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description:
- Perform general facilities and building maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical drive systems including gearboxes, belts, couplings, brakes, bearings, bushings, and sprockets
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and building schematics and blueprints
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace AC/DC motors and associated wiring
- Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and copper pipe installation as needed
- Complete preventive maintenance and repair work orders using maintenance management systems
- Assist with machine installation, relocation, rigging, and equipment moves
- Maintain a safe work environment by following Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and other safety procedures
- Support facility operations through general building maintenance and repair tasks
Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related skilled trades role
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Experience with welding and fabrication preferred
- Knowledge of machine repair, bearings, drive systems, motors, and power transmission components
- Ability to safely use measuring devices, electrical meters, hand tools, and power tools
- Experience with work order management systems preferred
- Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintenance best practices
- Ability to lift, move, and position equipment as required
