We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a CPA Firm in the Hamilton, NJ area. Salary $70-$75k base & Annual performance bonus
Hybrid schedule (3 days home / 2 days office; reversed during tax season)
Responsibilities:
Analyze and review client accounting records
Prepare individual, fiduciary, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including multi‑state filings
Prepare Estate and Gift Tax Returns
Calculate, review, and file quarterly tax estimates and extensions
Prepare financial statements and miscellaneous informational tax filings
Provide tax consulting to individuals and businesses
Review tax returns and workpapers for accuracy and compliance
Train and mentor staff on technical areas and process improvements
Research moderately complex tax issues and communicate findings to clients
Respond to IRS and state tax notices
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of accounting experience
2–5 years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
Familiarity with accounting and tax software
CPA or other relevant certification preferred
