Accountant / Bookkeeper
Reports to: Director of Administration / CFO
Pay: Up to $26/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in QuickBooks Online. This role supports senior leadership by producing timely financial reports, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating audits.
Key Responsibilities
Daily / Weekly
- Record and maintain a complete and accurate set of financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Post journal entries, including General Ledger exports from the MyClubHub system
Bi‑Monthly
- Administer payroll
- Meet with Resource Development and Operations teams to reconcile deposits, program expenses, and grant activity
Monthly
- Prepare program invoicing
- Compile monthly financial reports to monitor budget adherence
- Close books for the prior month by the 5th business day
- Prepare financial statements for senior management and external reporting
Annual / As Needed
- Prepare required tax filings
- Coordinate annual audit activities with external auditors
- Support reporting for government and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Experience with A/R, A/P, payroll, and general ledger accounting
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Compensation
- Up to $26/hour, based on experience
