We are hiring a Lead Security Electronics Technician to support installations, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic security systems in the Elizabeth, NJ area.
Responsibilities
- Install and wire access control, CCTV, gate systems, intercoms, and alarm systems
- Program systems related to CCTV, intrusion, access control, intercoms, and gate systems
- Perform routine maintenance and system testing
- Diagnose and repair security system issues
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
- Provide end‑user support and training
- Maintain documentation for service and installation
- Assist with security assessments and recommend upgrades
- Follow safety protocols and local codes
- Manage tools, inventory, and work documentation
Qualifications
- 8 years experience
- Strong technical experience with low‑voltage electronics and security systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Accurate documentation and record‑keeping abilities
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay $40-$46/hour
- Time-and-a-half for work between 6:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
- 4-hour minimum at time-and-a-half for emergency calls
- 4-hour minimum at double time on holidays, plus 8 hours of regular holiday pay
