Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Security Electronics Technician to take ownership of complex installations, service work, and troubleshooting for advanced electronic security systems in the Elizabeth, NJ area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, mentoring others, and delivering top-tier service to customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the installation and wiring of access control, CCTV, gate systems, intercoms, and alarm systems
- Program and configure CCTV, intrusion, access control, intercom, and gate systems
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system testing
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues
- Provide clear system training and support to end users
- Maintain accurate service and installation documentation
- Assist with security assessments and recommend system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes
- Manage tools, inventory, and daily work documentation
What You Bring
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with electronic security and low‑voltage systems
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting and system diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail for documentation and reporting
- Leadership mindset with a commitment to quality and safety
Compensation
$90,000 - $110,000 annually
- Select projects and job sites may qualify for prevailing wage rates, resulting in higher hourly compensation where applicable.
