Senior Team Lead & Team Lead Position Summary:
The Team Lead and Senior Team Lead are responsible for leading and motivating a team of associates in day-to-day warehouse operations. This role focuses on productivity, quality, safety, and teamwork while serving as a key communication link between associates and supervisors.
Senior Team Leads will have additional responsibility supporting supervisors, handling escalations, and assisting with department-level performance.
Senior Team Lead & Team Lead Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse associates to meet productivity and quality goals
- Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow to ensure operational efficiency
- Track productivity metrics and provide daily feedback and coaching
- Audit work quality and address performance or process issues as needed
- Communicate with internal teams regarding issues that may impact operations or customers
- Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
- Promote a safe, positive, and respectful work environment
- Address team concerns and escalate issues to leadership when necessary
- Act as a liaison between associates and management
- Perform hands-on warehouse tasks (picking, packing, receiving, etc.) as needed
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
- Support supervisor duties during absences (Senior Team Lead role)
Senior Team Lead & Team Lead Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Team Lead: 1–3 years of experience leading a team in a warehouse or production environment
- Senior Team Lead: 3+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable using basic computer systems (order processing, spreadsheets, warehouse systems)
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moderate noise
- Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials
