About the Job
We are hiring experienced Sit‑Down Forklift Operators for a major distribution center in Aberdeen, MD. Operators will work full‑time on a Clamp Truck, but sit‑down forklift experience is the key requirement, as the skills transfer directly and clamp operation training is provided.
This is a long‑term, temp‑to‑hire role with steady hours, weekly pay, and clear growth paths.
Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent sit‑down forklift experience and successfully pass an on‑site driving test.
What You’ll Do
• Operate Sit Down Electric Clamp Trucks full‑time (training provided)
• Load, unload, clamp, and maneuver large, bulky, or un‑palletized product
• Use RF scanners for inventory accuracy and movement
• Transport oversized loads throughout the warehouse
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Meet daily performance, safety, and accuracy goals
Requirements
✔ Minimum 1 year of RECENT sit‑down forklift experience
✔ Ability to pass an on‑site clamp truck driving test
✔ Comfortable operating in reverse for majority of shift
✔ RF scanner experience preferred
✔ Ability to lift 20–50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
✔ Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required (not shoes)
✔ Comfortable working around large appliances and oversized freight
✔ Reliable and safety-focused
Preferred (not required):
• Prior clamp truck experience
• Experience with attachments (clamp, push/pull, slip‑sheet, etc.)
