About the Job
We are hiring a Yard Worker for a large distribution facility in Aberdeen, MD. This role is primarily outdoors and involves performing yard checks, verifying trailer inventory, and ensuring accurate reporting.
No prior warehouse or yard experience is required — full training is provided.
If you enjoy staying active, working outside, and being on your feet, this is a great long‑term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outdoor yard checks across the trailer yard throughout the shift
- Walk or use your personal vehicle (optional) to travel between trailers
- Record & verify trailer numbers and compare against the yard report
- Check whether trailers/containers are empty or loaded
- Open and close trailer/container doors (doors may weigh 50–75 lbs)
- Report discrepancies to the supervisor promptly
- Follow all facility and safety procedures at all times
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs to open heavy trailer doors
- Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to move safely around an active yard

- Able to follow directions and maintain accurate written records
