Pay Rate: $23–$26 per hour (Based on experience)
Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated QC Fabrication Inspector with a strong understanding of manufacturing and distribution environments. This role is responsible for the timely processing of all quality requirements along with a variety of organizational tasks. The QC Fabrication Inspector will serve as a company representative when working with suppliers, customers, fabrication teams, quality personnel, and packaging/shipping staff. Any unresolved, recurring, or severe quality issues will be escalated to the Quality Manager and resolved collaboratively.
Essential Job Functions
Master blueprint reading and interpretation; perform inspections using proper measurement gauges to meet customer requirements.
Maintain accurate filing and retrieval of quality documents and alerts.
Support manufacturing and distribution PPAP submissions per customer requirements and AIAG 4th Edition guidelines.
Complete FAIRs, DIP’s, TDP’s, visual inspections of distribution items, and other similar tasks.
Perform tooling reviews (incoming) and collaborate with the NPI team to resolve issues.
Follow all established Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
Verify that material or hardware certifications meet required specifications.
Physically confirm that incoming hardware and parts from outside processing conform by measuring and counting as needed.
Communicate with suppliers in a timely manner to resolve and escalate quality-related notices.
Assist with processing and completing all RMA’s and customer/vendor discrepancies, including system entries (CSI/Syteline).
Knowledge & Skills
Strong computer skills: Excel, PDF Professional, Word, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to problem-solve, apply critical thinking, and assess risk.
Proficient with common inspection tools and equipment.
Skilled in blueprint reading, interpretation, and application.
Familiarity with PSWs, dimensional validation reports, control plans, process flows, PFMEAs, CPK studies, Gauge R&R, material test reports, Certificates of Conformance, and supplier documentation.
Physical Requirements
Stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have close visual acuity.
May be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and dust.
