PeopleShare has an several openings for a Maintenance Technician in West Deptford, NJ, working with production equipment for a pre-cut produce (food) operation. We'll look at candidates that recently finished a technical school and have at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience.

Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available -
1st Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
2nd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 or 10:00 PM (end of shift)
The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of semi-skilled and/or skilled tasks in maintenance and repair of facilities equipment. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is an entry level position that maintains the facility and equipment to a safe, high efficiency and quality level and contributes to the sites overall strategic direction. He/she conducts preventative maintenance on equipment and ensures the proper stock of parts.
Responsibilities:
- Work safely and adhere to established safety principles and practices
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment based on the PM program.
- Tasks assigned by manager based on abilities.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment
- Maintain equipment to maximize efficiency
- Knife Sharpening
- Dock Seals, Brushes and Exterior Doors
- Refrigeration and Evaporator Cleaning
- Friday PM’s – Basic Equipment
- Conveyors
- Belt Conditions
- Electrical connections
- Perform machinery repairs in a safe, efficient manner
- Perform repairs and PM’s and document to meet food safety standards for a food production facility
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED; technical school a plus
- Two years of journey level experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to perform semi–skilled and skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in the area of work assigned
- Ability to diagnose problems and find solutions
- Mechanical mindset with ability to think outside the box
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and other departments
- Ability to work effectively in the absence of close supervision
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Ability to work in a fast paced, cold temperature environment
- Experience working on processing machinery in the foodservice industry a plus
- Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance
- Ability to work overtime, as warranted by business needs
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
