Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM -4:30 PM
Type: 4 month contract-to-hire
Pay: $22-24/hr
Overview:
The Annuity & Life Specialist serves as a dedicated marketing liaison for independent insurance professionals. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and expanding relationships with brokers, promoting annuity and life products, and helping agents successfully write business. The ideal candidate combines strong relationship management skills with a proactive approach to sales and service. This position is well-suited for someone with a Life & Health license who wants to deepen their impact in the financial services industry within a supportive and stable environment.
Responsibilities:
Relationship Management & Sales Support
- Build and manage relationships with independent brokers and agents.
- Conduct consistent follow-up on leads generated from webinars, marketing campaigns, and in-person events.
- Make 40–60 outbound calls per day to engage financial professionals and educate them on our services.
- Guide brokers through annuity and life insurance product options, helping them find suitable client solutions.
- Promote UMS’s marketing support, incentives, and training resources to drive agent engagement.
Account Development
- Monitor existing broker activity and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely service and support for agent requests.
- Maintain organized records of all interactions, updates, and follow-up activities in Smart Office CRM.
- Utilize iContact email campaigns and follow-up data to identify and contact high-engagement leads.
- Participate in the planning and execution of annual marketing meetings and local events (held in Mount Laurel).
Administrative & Technical Tasks
- Manage broker account updates and licensing information.
- Prepare and distribute marketing materials and campaign reports.
- Assist in coordinating educational webinars and seminars.
- Stay current with carrier offerings, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Active Life & Health Insurance License (required).
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or marketing preferred.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Smart Office experience a plus).
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple leads.
- Persistent and patient—comfortable nurturing relationships over time.
- Ability to interpret financial data and product comparisons.
