Job Title: Printing Press Plate Technician
Location: South Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (First Shift)
Pay Rate: $18 – $20 per hour (based on experience)
Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Plate Technician to join our printing production team. This position plays a key role in the printing process by creating and preparing high-quality plates for our press operators. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
Produce and process printing plates based on job orders and production specifications.
Operate and maintain plate-making equipment and related machinery.
Inspect and verify accuracy and quality of finished plates.
Keep work area organized and ensure proper handling of materials.
Follow all safety procedures and standard operating guidelines.
Collaborate with prepress and press departments to ensure plates meet production needs.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, or a production technician role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Basic mechanical and computer skills required.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and production schedules.
Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
