Maintenance Technician
Location: South Charlotte, NC
Schedule: 1st Shift – Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $25–$27 per hour
Job Summary
We’re hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our facility and production equipment running at peak performance. This role involves hands-on work maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance such as replacing filters, belts, and lubricating moving parts on fans, pumps, and motors.
Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
Install and maintain copper, steel, and PVC piping systems throughout the facility.
Partner with fellow technicians to identify root causes of equipment problems and suggest improvements.
Assist engineers with new machinery installations and equipment upgrades.
Conduct regular facility inspections to prevent equipment failures and ensure safe operation.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer manuals to complete tasks accurately.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Skilled in using hand and power tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, and bearings.
Able to lift up to 45 lbs. and work safely from ladders or elevated platforms.
Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units a plus.
HVAC and basic electrical knowledge (motors, wiring, controls) preferred.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
