Overview
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all facility and equipment maintenance operations to ensure optimal uptime and production efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance activities, including machine and facility troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and spare parts management
- Lead, develop, and schedule a team of 5 mechanics
- Manage maintenance inventory and purchasing within budget
- Implement and oversee the CMMS (UpKeep 2023) to drive uptime and reliability
- Support capital projects and collaborate with engineering
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Defense, Food Safety, and SQF programs
Requirements & Background
- 5–10 years of mechanical experience in food manufacturing (required)
- Baking or meat industry background strongly preferred
- PLC programming and electrical knowledge required
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, hands-on approach — must lead by example
- Comfortable working in both hot/cold production environments
