Regional Safety Manager Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time
- Pay Rate: $85,000 – $110,000/year
- Direct Hire Opportunity
- Up to 40% Travel (VA, NC, CT, DE, NJ)
Regional Safety Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide site-level safety teams, ensuring alignment of safety practices across all locations
- Champion a strong regional safety and compliance culture, implementing programs to maintain accident-free operations
- Conduct accident and injury investigations region-wide; document findings and prepare materials for claims
- Develop, deliver, and oversee safety training programs, including emergency preparedness, job instruction, and protective equipment use
- Facilitate regional safety meetings, safety committee meetings, and audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed
- Maintain accurate safety records in KPA, including near-misses, incident reports, training records, and acknowledgements
- Monitor compliance with daily equipment inspections and provide guidance for corrective action
- Exercise authority to stop unsafe operations at any regional site
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies
- Represent the company to regulatory and governmental agencies regarding safety and compliance matters
- Share environmental and safety compliance updates with leadership and staff across the region
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Regional Safety Manager Requirements:
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- Bachelor’s degree required (or up to 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree)
- Minimum 5 years of safety experience, preferably in steel/metal distribution or manufacturing industries
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferred
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time across multiple states
- Strong knowledge of emergency preparedness, security protocols, and safety management systems
- Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Proven ability to conduct training and mentor safety teams effectively
