Position: Maintenance Technician
Schedule: 1st Shift Mon - Thu 6am-4pm
Pay Rate: $25-35/hr BOE
Maintenance Technician Job Description:
This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Tasks include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, and documenting work. Must follow safety protocols, read technical documents, and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on equipment including Tube Mills, finishing equipment, overhead cranes, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and electrical panels.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and industry standards while working in a safe and professional manner.
Document maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain adequate inventory of replacement parts and supplies.
Promptly report any issues requiring corrective or preventive action.
Clean up spills and handle waste disposal according to environmental and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status and completion.
Support maintenance needs at both Statesville and Troutman locations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintenance Technician Job Qualifications:
- Required: Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Highly Preferred: Strong electrical skills.
- Preferred: Machining, mechanical, and fabrication skills.
- Computer literacy required; ability to use CMMS systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and work orders.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
