Quality Control Technician
Location: Matthews
Pay: $17 - $19.00/hr DOE
Shifts: Rotating schedule — 30 days on first shift, 30 days on second shift, 30 days on third shift. Must be willing to work all shifts.
About Us:
Our Advanced Coatings business unit is seeking a Quality Technician to join our Matthews manufacturing team. This role is key to ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards by providing testing, analysis, and support for both production and development trials. What You’ll Do:
Monitor and improve the quality of manufactured products.
Perform product testing, inspections, and visual evaluations to ensure conformance to specifications.
Assess and resolve nonconforming product and customer complaints.
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes.
Complete and maintain safety, housekeeping, and calibration standards.
Document and communicate test results using databases, reports, and lab notebooks.
Assist with product quality assessments, test variation studies, and training of new technicians.
Collaborate with production crews, engineering, and management to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous quality, testing, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
Comfortable using quality system documentation, statistical tools, and reporting methods.
Strong communication skills with ability to interact professionally with coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
Flexibility to work any shift as business needs require.
