About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations and lead a team of technicians. This hands-on leadership role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and facilities while ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, proven supervisory experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Quality Assurance/Control, and Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and assign daily maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with procedures.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of manufacturing, utility, and facility equipment.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain detailed maintenance logs.
Oversee maintenance of critical systems including HVAC, compressed air, boilers, chillers, WFI, and clean steam.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and OSHA standards, supporting audits and inspections as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment installation, qualification, improvement projects, and facility upgrades.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical trade certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.
5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other cGMP-regulated environment strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CMMS experience (B.M.R.A.M. or similar) a plus.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout, and facility safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, technical manuals, and SOPs.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated platforms.
Availability for occasional on-call or emergency response needs.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with shifting priorities.
