Packer Associate

Schedule: 1st shift (7am-3pm) / 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Associate (Level 2) to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring products are packaged, labeled, and prepared according to company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately count and neatly pack bags of rice into cases
Inspect product packaging to ensure it meets quality standards (no tears, holes, or defects)
Operate the case taper machine to safely seal packed cases
Manually stack, arrange, and shrink wrap pallets weighing up to 50 lbs
Assemble and prepare boxes with customer labels
Assist with equipment cleaning, sanitizing, and scrap disposal
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company safety rules, including proper use of PPE
Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Ability to count accurately and maintain attention to detail
Ability to work at a set pace on a production line and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs consistently throughout the shift
Strong attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work overtime as needed
Basic English communication skills with ability to follow oral and written instructions
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and pushing up to 50 lbs
Occasional bending/stooping and reaching above shoulder level
Requires visual acuity for accuracy, neatness, and quality checks
Work Environment
Food manufacturing plant, production line setting with exposure to rice and moderate-to-high noise levels
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and forklifts
Required PPE includes robe, hair/beard net, hard hat, face mask, gloves, steel-toe shoes, and hearing protection
